University Writing Center
The University Writing Center offers one-to-one writing consulting for both undergraduate and graduate students. When utilizing the UWC, students should bring a developed draft of what they are working on and their assignment sheet and rubric. If you are going to the UWC for extra credit or in lieu of Peer Response, remember to print out a UWC confirmation form linked below. Academic Projects Center The Academic Projects Center also offers one-to-one writing consulting for students, in addition to consulting on research and technology-related issues. Students visiting the Academic Projects Center should bring with them a draft of what they're working on and their assignment sheet. Halle Library Serving as an intellectual and community center for Eastern Michigan University, the EMU Library maintains both a welcoming and accessible facility and a dynamic virtual presence. In addition to working as a research hub for students, Halle Library provides a subject librarian specifically for the First-year Writing Program. Holman Success Center
The Holman Success Center provides students with supportive assistance to help them reach academic achievement through instruction and personal goal planning. Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) Counseling and Psychological Services is dedicated to addressing the mental health needs of EMU students, providing free individual, group, and couples therapy using a short-term model. Disability Resource Center (DRC) The Disability Resource Center works collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff to create an inclusive educational environment for students. The DRC is happy to discuss any course or campus barriers that may be preventing access to education and an equitable campus experience for students. If you are working with the DRC, I am happy to help you find success in this class by way of recommended accommodations. However, it is your responsibility to let me know as soon as possible. I cannot provide accommodations for you unless I am aware of your needs. Office of the Ombuds The Ombuds helps students resolve concerns, problems, or conflicts with regards to University policies, procedures, and decisions. The Ombuds provides for an informal and neutral place for students to come to express their concerns. |
